This is a beautiful hand painted blue and white Chinese porcelain Charger, dating to the second half of the 18th century, circa 1770, Qing dynasty, Qianlong. The charger is well potted with a wavy rim and has been hand decorated in varying shades of cobalt 'steel' blue. The glaze is thin and glassy with a lovely bluish tinge. The decoration is all hand painted in an outdoor floral pattern with rocks, trees and flowers inside a geometric border and three floral sprigs to the outer rim.The foot rim is neatly trimmed and the charger is unmarked to the reverse side. Please study the images for detailed condition.Overall a beautiful early blue and white porcelain plate, about 250 years old and makes a really attractive display.
