释文：闻鸡起舞，跃马争春。说明：刘海粟（1896～1994），原名刘盘，字季芳，号海翁，室名艺海堂、存天阁。汉族，江苏常州人。二十世纪著名书画家，美术教育家。擅长油画和国画。1912年与乌始光等友人创办上海图画美术院，后改为上海美术专科学校，1919年始任校长。曾赴日本及欧洲多国考察美术、举办个展。与颜文梁、林风眠和徐悲鸿并称“四大校长”。解放后历任南京艺术学院院长、上海美术家协会名誉主席、中国美术家协会顾问。意大利欧洲学院授予“欧洲棕榈金奖”。平尺: 单联约10.76平尺
