A Chinese Dehua figure of 'Guan Ze Zun Wang', Qing Dynasty, probably 18th century, seated with right leg raised, with John Sparks circular label to the reverse, 24cm highProvenance: The Property of a Lady, purchased in the 1950's or 1960's form the John Sparks Ltd, London. Guan ze Zun wang, was a Taoist deity worshipped widely in Fujian Province, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Guanze Zunwang, originally known as Guo Zhongfu 郭忠福 , was born in Shishan, Nan’an County of Fujian, in 923. A series of local miracles were associated with him, including fighting pirates, putting out a fire, and healing the sick. 清 18世纪(可能) 德化窑白釉广泽天王 in good condition of that typical firming faults and blemishes
