'Wu Shuang Pu' was originally a book of woodblock prints published in 1694, painted by Jin Guliang and carved by Zhu Gui, containing forty heroes and heroines, the artists selected from Han to Song dynasties. , In his foreword to the volume, Jin stated that these exemplary characters were no longer seen and, therefore, had no parallel.
