second half of 19th century, of six pith paper paintings, the inside cover with an handwritten inscription thanking Mr & Mrs Handyside for 'the kindness and hospitality received from them in Edinburgh', two painted with an interior, scene with blue carpets, one with a lady picking flowers presented to her by her maid, so she may put them in her hair, the other one with a man in a dragon robe with a servant at his side,
each 31 x 18.5cm,
and four depicting figures including an, emperor and empress, a nobleman and a lady,
each 24 x 16cm
