Provenance Acquired directly from the Abuja Pottery Training Centre; A private collection. Etched into the face of the work is a Lizard motif, typical of the decorative etching performed by members of the pottery centre such as Ladi Kwali. Unglazed, the current lot holds an unusual position in the pottery schools output of work. However, given that it is unglazed, this plate demonstrates a stage in the potter's process.
