The jade group finely carved to depict pair of quails holding spray of millet in their mouths, feather finely detailed, the stone is well polished white tone with brown veinings and inclusions. Qin Dynasty period. 用料精良，白玉製成，潔白細膩，沁色自然包漿潤滑。圓雕鵪鶉，造型優美，姿態生動，光亮平整，極爲逼真，鵪鶉小首，碩身，鳥身翎毛層疊有序，紋絲不亂，鵪鶉神態安詳，惟妙惟肖。鵪鶉是宮廷常用的圖案和器物造型，寓平安之意。鵪鶉一對，則象徵「雙安」。
