拍品取孔雀石为材雕就，主体作荷叶一片，铺展翻卷，状物有神，旁侧莲蓬依附，娇俏可爱，底部莲茎粗韧，自然流转。荷叶之上，圆雕蟾蜍趴伏，身躯饱满，突睛阔口，肌肉精炼有力，昂首前视，呈憨态可掬之象，背部以藉点点凸起高低以状背股之癞疣，不必多施刀凿已形象逼真。
整体造型取材夏末秋初江南荷塘一景，立意生动，雕刻流畅，并含喜气和谐、多子多福之意。
