Jaques & Son, Ltd., London 'The Staunton Chessmen' chess set, with weighted bases, 9cm high king, housed within a mahogany case with green baize lining (20cm x 14cm x 9cm high)The board has veneer losses on two sides and the is a large crack across three squares and another across two and a half squares, one square ising up off the board and there are several other smaller areas of damage. The pieces are in good order though there are signs of wear on some of them. The box has a large crack across the top. The dimensions for the King are 4.5cm diameter 9cm tall and 74g in weight, the Knight is 3.5cm diameter 6cm tall and 37g in weight , the Pawn is 3cm diameter 5cm tall and 24.5g in weight.
