A SHALLOW CAFÉ-AU-LAIT GLAZED BOWL, QIANLONG MARK AND PERIODChina, 1736-1795. The gently rounded sides rising from a shallow foot to a lightly flared rim, the body embellished with a raised double bow-string band, the interior and exterior covered with a lustrous café-au-lait glaze of a reddish-brown tone, the white base with an underglaze-blue six-character seal markda Qing Qianlong nianzhi and of the period.Provenance: Sotheby’s Hong Kong, May 2000, lot 724 (according to label to base).
