周元亮 字容庵。男，汉族，北京市人。周元亮1912年进私塾读书并习书画。1920年考入北京中国画研究会，随陈师曾、汤定之、金北楼、萧谦中等学习中国画。周元亮1923年至1948年在北京、天津、上海等地举办个人画展，曾与王雪涛、吴镜汀等人举办联展，三十年代晶体在北京荣宝斋“挂笔单”以卖画为生。
