民国初年，商务意将《四库全书》景印，以嘉惠士林，后因时局动荡，诸股东以为工程浩大，建议经史子集四部各择一种，原样景印以存其真，故后有六册装四库样本之行世，《离骚图》即四部之一也，分上、中、下三册。本拍品原装原函一册，装帧悉如四库原本，封面有“卷上”字样，内有图绘二幅，文字四叶，余皆空白，当为最初仿真之试印样本，至为难得。
