曹禺（1910—1996）中国杰出的现代话剧剧作家，原名万家宝，字小石，小名添甲。汉族，祖籍湖北潜江。曹禺作为中国新文化运动的开拓者之一，与鲁迅、郭沫若、茅盾、巴金、老舍齐名。他是中国现代戏剧的泰斗，戏剧教育家，历任中国文联常委委员、执行主席；中国戏剧家协会常务理事，副主席；中国作协理事，北京市文联主席；中央戏剧学院副院长，名誉院长；北京人民艺术剧院院长等职务。
