In the 1960s the company became well known for fanciful enamelled animal jewellery, and from 1966 his 'Bestiario' collection gained world acclaim, particularly in North America, when the company opened in New York in 1970, under the name Franscarolo & Co. The heads have two differing plaques, one has two panels the other has one, and so one of the heads may be a matching replacement, the castings of the heads are very slightly different, but they are of the same maker.
