金刚力士乃具有大力之印度古神，既能降魔伏妖，守护佛法，也能驱鬼辟邪，往往被达官贵人奉为保护神，是隋唐佛教造像艺术中最为常见的护法像之一。此尊金刚力士像石灰岩质，怒发冲冠，双目圆睁，两耳垂腮，面部肌肉凸显，鼻梁挺拔，宽鼻厚唇，神情庄严肃穆。身着珠链缦带，腹部肌肉线条分明，充满力量美感，整体勇猛彪悍，表现出压倒一切的威势和对守护佛法的不二忠心。虽有残缺，但整体轮廓依然清晰生动，形象威猛刚健，雕工精细传神，体现了当时工匠高超技术。
