黄永玉，笔名黄杏槟、黄牛、牛夫子。1924年7月9日（农历）出生在湖南省常德县（今常德市鼎城区），祖籍为湖南省的凤凰县城。土家族人。中国画院院士，中央美术学院教授，曾任版画系主任。中国美术家协会会员。2020年6月4日，黄永玉以2019年度公开拍卖市场作品总成交额3,700万元人民币名列《2020胡润中国艺术榜》第17位。代表作品《黄永玉木刻集》《猫头鹰》《这些忧郁的碎屑》《沿着塞纳河到翡冷翠》。
