Ca. 500-600 AD. A bronze ring with a plain, flat-section hoop engraved on the shoulders with chevron designs. A large, circular bezel bears an incised cross pattern with accompanying curvilinear motifs. The Cross, the principal symbol of Christianity, recalling the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the redeeming benefits of his Passion and death.
