Bronze drinking horn with a stand with a disc-shaped base at the lower end. The wide mouth slightly curved outwards, a horizontal rib under the rim. At the bottom, after a bulge, the horn merges into a horse protome with bent forelegs. The head with a bridle attached. On the chest a tubular opening for the dosed pouring of libations. Brown patina, partially with red and green oxide layers, mostly in the mouth area and at the base. Two small breakthroughs in the upper area below the rib near the rim. Otherwise intact. Height 24 cm. Diameter of the muzzle 10.5 cm. Provenance: Spanish private collection, acquired in 2021 in the English art trade. Previously English private collection M. A.
