Sculpture of a horse in typical stylisation. Base plate with openings of opposite triangles. Rod-shaped lower legs merging into almost triangular thighs. The knee joints are decorated with oblique incisions. Thin, in cross-section trapezoidal body and thin tail drawn down to the ground. Neck and mane worked flat and curved upwards,pleted by a fully sculptured head with rounded cross-section and elaborate ears. Beautiful olive-green patina with minimal incrustations. Length 7 cm. Height 7.9 cm.pletely intact, charming animal figure of the early Greek period. Provenance: From the stock of a Munich gallery, acquired from a private collection in Munich. Received from the previous owner in the 1960s in Vienna as a gift from a renowned art collector (W. H.) and transferred to Munich in 1983.
