Calotteposed of eight lancet-shaped segments with profiled sides. Four each with lateral cutouts and four each with lateral bulges. Joined at the overlaps of the suitably distributed segments by rivets with round heads. The top surmounted by a cone connected to the calotte at the lower edge by rivets with pointed heads. The cone ends in a square tube to hold a crest. On the front, a nasal with a shallow central bend and thin, slightly curved "brow arches". Holes around the lower rim of the helmet at intervals of 5 - 6 cm, probably for attaching mail. Height without nasal ca. 26.5 cm, with nasal ca. 32 cm. Width 21 cm, length 23 cm. A beautifully shaped early medieval helmet from the Black Sea region. The eponymous example discussed in Kainov, "The Helmet from Krasnodar Territory" in: K. Maksymiuk & G.
