In the centre of the painting, the Virgin Mary rises up, wrapped in a wide cloak, holding the Infant Jesus, who almost appears to be floating, on her lap. Waving a piece of white cloth, the Infant Jesus regards the beholder. On the left, an angel offers the infant a basket of fruit while, on the right, Joseph stands slightly aside,pleting the diagonal. Fine craquelure. Restored, a few small repairs to the canvas. In a narrow frame of ebonised wood with gilt ripple moulding. Size of the picture 103 x 85 cm, framed 119 x 101 cm. Condition: II
