Translation provided by Youdao
The group of figures carved in three-quarter relief in boxwood, probably for an altarpiece devoted to the Crucifixion. Two assisting angels holding up the top of the sepulchre, from which Christ ascends, his hand raised in blessing. His flowing robes, draped in drop folds, revealing the wound in Christ's side. The raised hand and his right leg also bear stigmata. Two grave keepers recoil from the apparition with expressive gestures of fright. Slight worm damage in the lower section. Restored, Jesus' left hand has been lost. Dimensions 32 x 30 cm. Condition: II -
