Highly stylised, coarsely carved male figure with linear facial tattoos, holding a knife and a severed head in his hands. Partially cracked, on a rudimentary existent round base, dull grey age patina, mounted on an iron plate. Height 87 cm. Impressive representation of an executioner similar to the Ikenga figures, cult objects of the Igbo. Cf.
