DescriptionA well executed most probably continental silver centerpiece. This centerpiece features figural bacchanalian putti handles, figural lid with central three-dimensional female figure in mourning for drowned seamen?, three-dimensional dolphin pedestal, round stepped base, paw feet, and floral swag throughout. Total approx. weight is 151.36 troy oz (gross). From a Long Island, NY estate. Dimensions: centerpiece measures approx. 21.50" in height.品相报告: Condition ReportGood, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. This piece was tested in several areas in order to verify that it was indeed silver. The piece is silver however I can not determine the percentage. The interior is believed to have been subsequently plated. Many of the nuts have been replaced with non silver nuts and are now corroded. The centerpiece exhbits numerous repairs throughout. The centerpiece is covered in a yellow film that can be easily removed with silver polish and is not to be confused with brassing. The center piece is slightly off kilter and favors one side. This item is sold as is.
