AN ARCHAISTIC THREE-PRONGED JADE ORNAMENT, QINGChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or earlier. Boldly carved in the style of the Liangzhu culture, showing delicate details achieved through the arduous process of manual carving, with no modern tool marks. The opaque stone of a honey tone with russet shadings as well as dark green inclusions and white veining, the ornament carved to both sides with scrolls as well as a human head to each exterior prong. Pierced for suspension through the middle.Condition: Overall good condition with minor wear and small chips along the borders. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
