AN ARCHAISTIC PALE CELADON AND RUSSET JADE AXE-FORM PENDANT, QINGChina, Qing dynasty (1644-1912). Executed with exceptional skill and precision, this artwork in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty style showcases fine details and remarkable craftsmanship quality achieved through manual carving and chiseling techniques. The small archaistic pendant finely carved as an axe-form bell detailed with a band of archaistic scroll, a taotie mask and flanked by five prongs, all surmounted by a recumbent phoenix. The semi-translucent stone of a white tone with ochre and russet areas as well as surface alterations.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s. Weight: 29 g Dimensions: Height 5.7 cm
