A SMALL OCHRE JADE ARCHAISTIC BI DISC, QINGChina, Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or earlier. Crafted in the style of the Han Dynasty, featuring a remarkable level of detail and design, the absence of any modern tool marks indicates the manual carving and chiseling of the piece. The disc carved in low relief to both sides with fan-shaped panels enclosing eye-shaped decor within lined borders. The opaque stone of an ochre tone with russet shadings and surface alterations.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and minuscule nibbling here and there. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s.
