AN ARCHAISTIC CELADON JADE ‘BIRD’ PENDANTChina, 20th century. Carved in the style of the Western Zhou Dynasty, demonstrating fine levels of craftsmanship quality achieved through meticulous manual carving and chiseling techniques. Worked in the form of a flattened standing bird with curled beak and tail, the eyes clearly presented, the body carved with double-line archaistic patterns.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and minuscule nibbling here and there. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s. Weight: 27 g Dimensions: Height 8 cm
