See Hendin, D., Ancient Scale Weights, pp.80-86, and 173-182, for discussion of Judean limestone weights.96 grams total, 15-34 mm (1/2 - 1 3/8 in.). Property of a North London gentleman. Judean scale weights were primarily used to weigh amounts of silver, often in the form of hack silver. Modern scholar has deduced that Judean weights were base on a standard of 11.4 grams to the shekel. [6]
