A JAPANESE BLUE AND WHITE KAKIEMON-STYLE DISH EDO PERIOD, C.1680-1720 The shallow dish raised on a short foot and with a foliate brown-edged rim; decorated in underglaze blue to the well with a ho-o bird perched on a flowering branch of chrysanthemum issuing from rockwork; the rim with a border of formal flowerheads and scrolling tendrils; the reverse with karakusa scrolls and a fuku mark in a double-lined square to the base, 15.6cm.
