铜 笔架呈五峰山形，精铜所制。器虽朴素，山峰造型也有高下层次，置于几案上，彷佛眼底江山，颇有意趣，露铜之处，金光灿灿与盈盈绿锈相映成趣。 笔架亦名笔床、笔格、笔山，是古代书案上一种暂时放笔或架笔的专用工具。它是随着笔的使用而创制出来的。就文献所记，笔格出现于南朝。唐代诗人陆龟蒙有「自拂烟霞安笔格，独开封检试砂床」的诗句。宋明人亦皆称为笔格。笔架的质地计有各色玉雕、铜鎏金、仿古铜、哥窑、定窑、木等，造型则有山形、子母猫形、十二峰形、三山与五山形等，尽显文人雅趣。
