China, mid 20th centuryWith a classic rouleau shape, they are beautifully painted on the body with polychrome enamels with a scene of phoenixes, storks, mandarin ducks and other birds amidst flowering peonies and rocks. The slender neck is beautifully painted at its base with stylised ruyi-shaped leaves and on the rim with a ruyi-shaped band with floral motifs.
