贯耳瓶器形仿古代投壶式样，倭口近似海棠形，颈部对称贴塑管状双耳，下腹略鼓，底承圈足。造型端庄，古朴大方，通体施窑变釉，别无繁饰，仅腹部双面凸起圆杏形开光。釉质厚润妍亮，虽素面，却以釉色为饰，达到了一种独特的装饰效果。《光绪廿六年庚子大运传办瓷器清单》中第二项所载名称为“均釉四方杏元双管瓶”，即为此类品种。
