A rosewood with mother-of-pearl inlay Scholar's desk tray, Late Qing dynasty, late 19th or early 20th century, China, 24 x 24 cm, H 7.9 cm, A very fine wooden tray, inlaid with mother-of-pearl with engraved details and each side panel with inscriptions. The sides also with intricately carved panels in low relief depicting bats. Some wear from age and use, a few small pieces of the inlay missing but overall in very good condition.
