黄胄（1925－1997年）原名梁黄胄，河北蠡县人，后迁居陕西西安。他师从于陕西著名画家赵望云，后曾多次到新疆、青海、西藏等少数民族地区深入生活，积累了大量素材，并能吸收古代画家的长处，为己所用，最终在国画创作上取得了突出成就，成为当代著名中国画家。晚年又筹备创建了中国炎黄艺术馆，为中国艺术品的收藏与展示付出了巨大努力。生前曾任中国画研究院副院长、中国美术家协会常务理事、全国政协委员。
