说明：玉牌以玉为材，温润如脂，盈润光亮，器形规整。玉牌上方及下方雕如意云纹，上方呈微拱状，并穿孔佩金属钮以供佩戴。一面减地浅浮雕牛神全身像，人身牛首，宽袖长袍，手持一麾，右上角减地雕刻篆书“丑牛”二字，为为十二辰“丑牛”之意。；一面中央又雕出小开光。此器比例讲究，大小适中，方圆得度，刀工精美，字体挺拔，地子平浅而光滑，在方寸之间不仅尽显玉质之美，更具玉工之精，颇具收藏价值。十二生肖是中国的独有特色，根据十二种动物的习性来代表十二地支纪年法，始于战国时期，在传统生肖艺术品中，独以生肖玉最为精彩，形象十分丰富，而其中最值一提的便是明清两朝的玉坠、玉牌，譬如此件拍品所雕纹饰。
