青白玉色，褐色沁斑增添古韻，半透明的玉質具光澤。圓形玉鏡，中間凸起一紐，紐中穿有兩孔。紋飾分為兩區，內圈光素無紋，外圈則雕飾穀紋，排列整齊，外邊琢刻凸起輪廓線，設計簡單大方。 隋唐時期玉器已有了不同的變化，擺脫了神祕感走向世俗化發展。玉器品項中多見為佩飾、實用器等，禮器數量明顯減少。本器仿唐代銅鏡造型，紋飾則仿戰漢時期以穀紋裝飾。以實用為目的，琢顆細膩，材質更較銅器珍貴，是為王公貴族日常用品之一
