Glass beaker with a flat base and almost cylindrical wall. The outer wall decorated with two rows of flat oval knobs. At the bottom cross-shaped decoration from a mould. Due to age, the surface of the originally colourless to slightly greenish glass is clearly iridescent in places. One large fragment expertly glued. Chip on the rim in the area of the breakage. Diameter 10 cm. Height 5.5 cm. Rare Sasanian cup form! Glass was an important Sasanian exportmodity that reached China and Japan, among others. Provenance: From a Swiss private collection.
