Wendy Ramshaw OBE (1939-2018) for NMEC, a rare prototype Millennium Dome VVIP medal and two prototype crew medals and packaging, the first a prototype VVIP medal presented in a cream resin case. The case is made of recycled yoghurt pots, hence the metallic flakes in it. It was because of this unique aspect that Wendy Ramshaw chose this as the final design and material for the case. He was responsible formissioning artists, medallists and product designers for Dome merchandise. An example of the medal with nanocrystalline diamond-coated steel bisected by a gold ‘meridian line' rod is in the Science Museum.
