初代宫崎寒雉（1632-1712）起，传承至今已是十四代，位在加贺潘的宫崎寒雉家，代代都称为彦九郎寒雉。宫崎家的风格走的是轻薄的壶身，全手工制作的壶盖与摘钮，与出水细腻柔美的长壶流。十一世寒雉于江户晚期的安政四年继承家业，艺术生涯的活动时间为江户晚期到明治时期，聚今已有百余年历史，殁于大正四年。
