JAIN - ALTAR, bronze, dark brown and light brown patina, India, 19th/20th century; architectural structure in several levels with the 24 Tirthankaras (jina / chauvisi) and animal figures: snakes, birds, elephant and monkey. Mahavira as the last of the Tirthankaras is shown as the largest figure in the centre below. Cast in several parts, the reverse strengthened by three struts.
