Characteristic work of the veduta and landscape painter, who first learned to be a lithographer, then attended the master school for printing and graphics under Professor Boheland and finally was a student of Prof. Kraus at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts. As a painter and lithographer of cityscapes and landscapes with figurative staffage, Nitschke refers back to the painting of the turn from the 19th to the 20th century, impressionistic in ductus and colour palette.
