A GROUP OF FIVE ANTIQUE TIBETAN RITUAL OBJECTSTibet, 19th – early 20th century. The first a prayer wheel with a wooden handle and ballasted chain, the cylindrical body made of copper, finely ornamented and with inlaid red glass cabochons, with two rows of syllables indicating a mantra in metal repoussé, as well as a sutra paper inside the cylinder. The second a bone necklace comprising 110 disc beads. The third and fourth a ceramic tsa tsa, depicting buddha seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base, backed by a flaming mandorla. The fifth a parcel-gilt bronze seal, cast in relief with stylized scrolling floral motifs. Condition: Overall good condition with traces of wear and age. Provenance: Estate of an Austrian collector, the collection was assembled in the 1980s – 1990s through purchases at Galerie Zacke and other specialized galleries in Vienna.
