AN AMBER-GLAZED PORCELAIN JAR, QING DYNASTYChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), possibly Kangxi period (1662-1722). Thickly potted with a compressed globular body rising from a recessed foot to a short waisted neck and with a raised groove around the body, covered overall in a lustrous amber glaze, the underside with an apocryphal Da Ming Jiajing Nian Zhi reign mark in underglaze blue. Together with an associated wooden base. Condition: Good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities such as pitting, the foot rim with minor losses and glaze flakes.
