AN EMBELLISHED METAL SNUFF BOTTLE, c. 1920sChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Of compressed globular form, supported on a raised oval foot, rising to a tall and slender neck, with a flat lip. Decorated in high relief with an auspicious symbol within a circular reserve, and the sides inlaid with small turquoises.Condition: Good condition with some surface wear, minor nicks here and there, some natural flaws to the inlaid stone, and some manufacturing flaws. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
