A GREEN OVERLAY ‘SNOWFLAKE’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE, REPUBLICChina, Republic period (1912-1949). Of compressed spherical form, with an oval foot ring and a flat lip. Carved in high relief through the emerald-green layer to the bubble suffused milky white ground, depicting the design of double-gourds and beans on leafy vines to the main sides, flanked by mask and ring handles on the narrow sides.Condition: Good condition with minor wear, minuscule nibbling to the lip, manufacturing irregularities, a chip to one vine, and a dent to the metal collar of the stopper.
