A PAINTING OF AN IMPERIAL PROCESSION, 1900sChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Ink, watercolors, and gouache on silk. Depicting an imperial promotional procession, at the head of the procession, four men carry large red placards citing the titles of the promoted men in gold, followed by men holding auspicious symbols, further placards and lanterns, a group of musicians, and at the end, two palanquins carried by groups of men. In a wooden frame behind glass.Condition: Good condition with minor wear and little staining.
