A THAI BRONZE BUST OF BUDDHA, 17th – 18th CENTURYThailand, 17th to 18th century. Cast with the palms placed together in dhyana mudra, with a meditative facial expression, downcast eyes below gently arched eyebrows, a serene smile, and long pendulous earlobes, surmounted by an ornate tiara with and a stupa-like, conical-shaped ushnisha. Condition: Good condition with traces of wear and age, nicks here and there, casting irregularities, areas of malachite encrustations, remains of gilt, and few structural cracks. Provenance: Old private collection. Weight: 172.4 g Dimensions: Height 11.8 cm
