A LOT WITH TWO SAWANKHALOK CERAMIC ITEMSThailand/ Sawankhalok/ Sukhothai Province - 14th to 16th century. Comprising a covered bowl of compressed globular from, rising from a short ringed foot to a bud finial, the exterior neatly incised with leaves, covered overall in a brown and beige glaze, the foot, underside and rims unglazed revealing the brown body. Together with a figurine of a chicken, molded in a whimsical style and covered in a white glaze, the wings, tail feathers, comb, and wattle glazed blue. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities. The chicken with a small chip to the beak. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
