此漆盘呈长方形，形制规整。包浆浑厚油润，尽显其历史之沧桑。通体均为剔红图饰,用漆精良，漆质肥厚，发色浓郁。运刀犀利流畅，盘外壁剔雕牡丹纹一周，盘心满刻花卉纹，繁花锦簇，牡丹正艳。飞鸟体态轻灵曼妙，穿梭其中。图饰布局紧密，雕工精细入微。花纹圆润劲健，线条流畅健美，形象生动，图案打磨圆润丰满，刀锋内敛，美艳绝伦，尽显富贵繁荣之意。牡丹、雀鸟皆为喜庆题材，寓意美好富贵。具有极高的收藏价值。剔红之艺成熟于宋元，至明清一直繁荣兴盛，其技术、品种也不断丰富完善。此件剔红是典型明时期纹样，以常用的花卉和喜鹊登枝图案为主体，堆漆厚实，刀法圆润，雕工繁缛、气象华贵可赏可玩。
